Amersfoort
The ceremony and lunch will be taking place in the center of town, so anywhere near there will serve you well. Living in Amersfoort we don’t have first-hand experience of any of the places, but here are a few places you might want to consider.
Utrecht
If you have trouble finding somewhere in Amersfoort, or prefer a bigger city for your stay, Utrecht is just 15 minutes away from Amersfoort by train.
Travel
International Travel
Eurostar
A Eurostar service runs from London to Amersfoort. The faster intercity train runs from Amsterdam to Amersfoort every 30 minutes and takes 35 minutes.
Schipol Airport
If that is not possible for you the city can be reached easily from Schipol Airport. Direct trains run from Schipol to Amersfoort about every 30 minutes and take 67 minutes.
Within the City
Amersfoort is a very easy city to get around by bike or walking. The ceremony is taking place 15 minutes walk from the train station.
The city also has bus services. We’d advise you to check the times in advance but many buses will take you the short trip from the station to the venue. Buses come from the city center to Einsteinstraat roughly every 30 minutes.
